SPD-Z looks extremely interesting :)

What would be really cool is if we could have a tool to make our own SPD timings....

I have 4*2GB OCZ Reaper PC2-6400 4-4-4-15 sticks (OCZ2RPR800C42G) in an nForce 680I board that wont let me set memory settings beyond "EPP ON/OFF". (Its a Dell XPS 720H2C I'm ashamed to admit)

As the sticks don't seem to want to play at 4-4-4-15 (system boots but get occasional bluescreens) it would be sweet to be able to change the EPP profile to 2.1v from 2.0v, or to loosen the timings to say 4-5-5-18.

As it is I'm running at SPD timings of 6-6-6-18 :/

I have two more of the same sticks in my other PC, on a Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 board and that also required 2.1v for stability.

Both PCs have 3*40mm fans cooling the memory, so the modules dont even get hot with the added voltage.

Hi there,

THats the thing with the diferent chipsets really. The 680 does not usually require more than 1.8 or 1.9 for that ram, while the Intel chipset can normally require a little more. To program an SPD for Dell would be interesting as you say, but there is a lot more timings that the 5 we see in the pogram.
