Howdy! I hope I am posting this in the right section. I just got 2x512 OCZ rev3 3200 ram, and am not getting very good results with it. (compaired to 1x512 Geil value 3200). According to SiSandra, my benchmarks are way down Geil: 3153, 2887 92%, 84%, OCZ:2781, 2604 87%, 81%. I also had to drop my FSP 15 to get the OCZ stable. At 215 FSB, it rocked! But was very unstable. The Geil is very happy at 215 FSP. Sorry about the long post, I am just trying to get my computer back up to 215 FSB stable.
Computer:
Athlon 2500 Barton
Abit NF7-s
Thermalright slk 700 (cheap, but good)
Radeon 9200 :(
RAM settings by SPD, cannot remember. 5/5 ratio
vcore 1.75 chipset 1.7 vdram 1.7
temps: system 26 CPU 44 running folding 24/7
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, if any more info is needed about my computer, just let me know.

I got it running at 213 with 2.5 3 3 6 timings, p95 ran for 40 mins or so, no errors! Got decent benchmark scores with SiSandra. Any and all input is still welcomed!

Hi, you are on the right track. The Rev 3 is rated at CAS 2.5 for AMD systems only. Intel is CAS 2.0.
Try 2.5-3-3-10, this will give better bandwidth than what you are using on an NF2 board. Try 2.5-3-2-10. I am not sure this wil run, but hey, it's worth a try.
Let us know how it goes.

Prime started failling after an hour or so at 2.5 3 3 10. I downloaded the newer version you have on your site for 1G ram, still failed. I dropped the FSB down to 208 (from 215) and prime ran for 3 hours, no problems!
Does anyone know why I am having so much trouble with this ram verses the 512 Geil I had in before? The Geil runs 215 FSB, 12+ hours with prime, no problems. Of course I think 1g of ram at 208 is better than 512mg at 215 FSB!
Thanks for all the information!

Oh yeah, the 2.5 3 2 10 would not post on my system. Oh well! I will be glad to try any other ideas you have!

Pretty much as I said, you are running 2 sticks in dual channel mode now. Before you were running 1 stick. It's a documented fact that running in dual channel and/or running 2 stick lowers your overclock.
Glad things are working better now.

Occasionally, when I double click on an icon to start a program, nothing happens! I have to repeat several times to get programs running!
I have to say, OCZ has great customer service, and they seem to stand behind their product! Personally, I am tired of fighting to get this ram working and stable. The other ram I have, just toss it in and go, this ram has been very hard to get going. And yes, I have tried only one stick of the OCZ ram, got poor results. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
I am considering getting rid of the OCZ ram, and just buying an $80 stick of Geil ram to get my 1gb. I will wait until Monday to make my descision. Again, I think OCZ makes a great product, but unfortunantly, it does not do well in my current computer.
Have a good one!
