Fact is you do not....if you can install win7 to a HDD you can install it to an SSD, its that simple In order.... Add the SSD, on the boot screen when the drives are listed hit the pause button, this may allow you to read off the firmware on the drive..if its 1.5 you have nothing to do. Another method to see what FW is on the drive is to set raid mode in motherboard bios and boot to the raid bios (ICH10 boards you enter this using ctrl and I) Look at the drives properties, ...
I am an overclocker, anything that = more speed = what I want.... Overclock ram, hit the next speed grade up. Overclock CPU, hit the next speed grade up. Overclock GPU, increase FPS ina game etc. But I did this all on regular HDD... Now enters the SSD, I still tweak ram, CPU and GPU; BUT even my slow netbook with an SSD feels snappier than my $2000 test system running on a HDD...so is overclocking still worth while? I think ...
