    Mobo: various as always testing
BIOS: various as they never work correctly
CPU: usually AM3, but sometimes AM2+ and i7
RAM: I test so much its hard to say
Vid: 3870x2's...this is the one fixed variable
    PSU: PCPC 1200W/860W
    HDD: Vertex or Vertex EX
OS: All M$ from XP forward

Default **BOARD TEST** ASUS P5K3 Deluxe DDR3

Asus P5K3 Deluxe DDR3 based board

This will be a short test with the board as i have only 3 kits of DDR3, 1600EB, 1333plats and 1333 Gold.

To start i have tested with 1600EB and found what looks to be sweet settings to get the modules running rated speeds. I must stress though vdimm has a huge effect on how the ram behaves, i had to LOWER the voltage to 1.8V to get it running 100%, the rated voltage is 1.9V but for me this induced errors.

I set TRAS to 20 so this covered 1600 Platinum also I tested both ways with TRAS at 24 and 20 and it ran 100% stable with the settings you see posted here.

The pics should tell the story, bios shots, OCCT and 3D06. next up 1333 plats.
Click the pic for a link to the product page.

EIST was fully enabled so you will see the CPU is running a 6 multiplier, for the load tests i actually was running a 9 multiplier for 9x400fsb 3.6ghz

change in subtimings to get these going ok, vdimm again 1.8V. Click the pic for info from OCZ.

relaxing of timings for the more auto friendly 1333 Gold, vdimm only 1.6V with 1.4V on the NB chipset.

This needed a jump in Vdimm and a massive jump in chipset voltage..BE WARNED!! the heat pipe cooling does not cope and i had to add a fan blowing over the NB chipset.

    4GB 1333Platinum.

memory voltage had to be raised over what 2GB needed to get the system stable, also chipset voltage is again high so active cooling is needed for the chipset and the memory.
