    Mobo: various as always testing
BIOS: various as they never work correctly
CPU: usually AM3, but sometimes AM2+ and i7
RAM: I test so much its hard to say
Vid: 3870x2's...this is the one fixed variable
    PSU: PCPC 1200W/860W
    HDD: Vertex or Vertex EX
OS: All M$ from XP forward

Default Foxconn MARS P35 8GB tests

To start i thought I would throw up a teaser, 1000MHZ 8GB was easy with my best kits here. I will show DDR1000 and DDR800 stock settings over the next few days, for now those who like to push take a look at this

One note..TRD (performance level) sets 5 by default...bad news for 8GB so relax to 6

    Default 8GB ReaperX/8000Plats settings DDR1000

Cliick the pics for links to the product pages, For testing I am using 1 kit of each so that there are no heat spreader issues, 2 kits of the 8000 platinum would work just as well.

Foxconn MARS...Very nice Intel P35 motherboard.

Take a look here for some nice info about the motherboard

Easy setting for 8GB running DDR1000:

Things to look out for are:

1 Performance level, manually set 6, if you have issues set 7
    2 TRFC set 54 for 1000+MHZ.
3 Dram voltage...2.16 was the sweet spot for me, a tiny amount above the 2.15V OCZ recomend.

If you overclock the CPU you may have to increase NB voltage, please be aware you may have to add a fan to the heatsink to keep the NB cooled well.

    Default 8GB (4x2GB) Quad Kit P/N - OCZ2P8008GQ

Quad 2GB modules, PC6400 5-4-4-18 for 8GB DDR800, click the pic for the link to the product page.

Pleasantly surprised with this kit, even though the link on OCZ says 2.1V I was able to prime stable with all 8GB at 1.8V on the MARS.Remember only give the ram the voltage it needs, most often a small step up in voltage will get you stable...no need to apply lots of voltage.

Thumbnails have the bios shots for setup.
