    Mobo: various as always testing
BIOS: various as they never work correctly
CPU: usually AM3, but sometimes AM2+ and i7
RAM: I test so much its hard to say
Vid: 3870x2's...this is the one fixed variable
    PSU: PCPC 1200W/860W
    HDD: Vertex or Vertex EX
OS: All M$ from XP forward

Core SSD successes, which chipset you using?

For those without issues, please post what chipset is on the board you are using, which board and which bios on the board?

You can vote more than once for different chipsets if you have seen good results with more than one. Also vote in the Poll and choose other if you are using a raid card.

OCZ core v1 raid 0 performance is quite solid on a Marvell controller, which is an on-board add-in controller on the P5E64 WS Evolution board from Asus.

question is, does anyone WITHOUT raid have the drive run right?

Mobo: ASUS Striker II Extreme 790i
    CPU: QX9770
    RAM: 8GB DDR3
    HDD: 3 X OCZ V1 128GB SSD

Adaptec 5805 SATA II Raid Pci-E card
    3 X 128GB V1 OCZ Core drives
Vista 64 BIT (inc SP1) media
    Striker II Extreme 790i motherboard

Latest drivers and BIOS used from the Adaptec site.
No issues with creating the raid array.

Read performance is good: 350 - 360MB/s sustained

Write performance: No stats but generally perceived as being good.(Real world use)

Multi tasking - It is still possible to get a delay of a few seconds when really intensive tasks are run together. (for example turn off indexing, let that task run then open up Firefox; this will give you a small delay.)

    No file corruption issues todate.

    Other Issues / Notes:

Not related to OCZ but worth bearing in mind if your're thinking of getting an Adaptec card; they run hot. Ensure you have good case airflow.

All 3 drives had file corruption issues when used on other SATA controllers.

System Restore had to be turned off under the current installation as this was causing major problems installing software. I've not had time to investigate this further and don't plan too!

edit 1: changed cluster size to 8k and write speed is 80mb/s and read is 130mb/s.

edit 2: Vista says c: is dirty, so everytime vista boots up, chkdsk is going to run.
I disabled chkdsk in command prompt window with the following command ; fsutil dirty query c:

alright, so we have all raid users and one person that only cares how high his atto score gets which means nothing . GG OCZ!

Has anyone actually fixed a stuttering issue that has had one with an RMA or any other method? I haven't seen any.

Mobo: Almost aways DFI and Intel based
BIOS: Depends on the board and time of day
    CPU: Intel 775/1366
    RAM: Depends on the configuration
    Vid: 4870 XFire
PSU: OCZ 1000W ProXStream modified to single rail
    HDD: Vetex, Apex, Core
    OS: Win7 64Bit

DFI P35, X38 and X48 (both DDR2 and DDR3 board). BIOS issue. Neither XP nor Vista will install if set to IDE mode. AHCI and RAID with the drive set as a non-member works fine. Performance is slower with AHCI then RAID. Running with P45 chipset now. Will update with results.

I would say that is a big problem right there--

Just because you turn off chkdsk doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Mine would run chkdsk, then would go into windows without a problem. Atleast for a while. Then, it bit the dust-

So, I would not be suprised if in the next few days your windows install crashes.

    Let us know-

I know it's a problem, but I'm testing to see how long it takes when vista crashes, if it crashes. I will let you know when that happens.

I just posted my results to help OCZ to find the problems they have with the ssd's

Currently I'm testing different options/services enabled or disabled to find out what the problem is.

I have successfully installed XP Pro 32bit on a Core V2 30GB on Asus Maximus Formula ICH9 chipset - no issues so far.
However, my original intention was to create a RAID pair with 2x 30GB but the XP install bombs out at 10% done in the initial "blue screen" copying files stage. This behaviour is the same when I try and install Vista64 onto the RAID.

64GB OCZ Core installed in an Asus eeePC 1000H. No problems at all.

According to the device manager, the controller is ICH7-M:

    "Intel(R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4"

    XP Home SP3

    Bios message:

ASUS 1000H ACPI BIOS Revision 0901
    Core Version: 0901
    Build Date: 07/11/08
    EC Firmware Version: EPCB-014

    Update:

I noticed that when the ssd is writing alot, like installing programs, the computer becomes very unresponsive and slow when you try to start up other programs.
So simultaneous writing and reading is a big problem for the ssd, which is very irritating.
