Quick comparison, Windows 7 7137 64bit. IOmeter bootup config and Crystaldiskmark.

    system specs:

    i7 965
    Foxconn Bloodrage
    6GB animal 1600plats
    IDE mode

Windows 7 did see the Summit as an SSD and applied the SSD setup, for some reason it did not with the Vertex so I manually applied the same tweaks.

Will continue testing, I have also asked if we will see a TRIM application, and if Summit supports native ATA TRIM also.

More as I get it..Summit bench has been updated to have 1000MB run of crystal

According to those pics....so far Vertex is still top notch.

Sounds cool! (god, that sounded so old in my head when I typed that)
This may be a particularly good drive to use in raid 0 + MFT, IOPS should be through the roof!
That is of course if the drive still restores itself in raid 0.

MFT particularly on the new FW with Vertex adds a shed-load of IOP performance, it even adds about 1-2-mb/s to 4k reads.

    Edit:
Below, 1x 30gb Vertex fw 1.3 + MFT IOmeter Bootup config!

Newegg is showing two models, 60 and 250.

$899 for 250! Interface Type: Mini PCIe (PATA)?

$239 for 60 Interface Type: SATA II

    Sequential write:
    60GB write speed is 120MBps
    250GB write speed is 220MBps?
    hmm, this isn't slc either

This is not the Summit mentioned in this thread.

That is our Mini PCI SSD for laptops only. Not the Summit in 2.5" form.

EDIT... Newegg just has the interface wrong...l will let the office know.

I believe is it although Samsung (who supply the drives) have not issued any FW for end user upgrade...
