    Critical Flashing problem!

EDIT: Skip the first 10 posts or so.. problem is now with getting flash tool to load

Im assembling a newer ssytem with Vertex 120GB running FW 1.3

    Gonna be installing Win7 X64..

I know IDE mode is needed during flash... IDE or AHCI for general windows usage?

    1.40 or 1.41

I like to vlite my WIndows 7.. I generally remove index services, system restore, and unused features like Language translations etc.. What should I be careful with to not remove?

What not to remove ? = drivers

    Use 1.4 for W7 & TRIM ..

Yes IDE mode for flashing ...IDE or AHCI for everyday usage ...up to you , there are reg hcks to switch back & forth so really doesnt matter..

Go to your bios, in order to boot to the CD/ROM ,DVD burner you would have to set it as first boot device & SSD second ..

In order to boot to the Bootable USB stick you are going to have to set in bios the HDD order as the USB( or whatever it is called in bios) to be the first boot HHD device then the secong being the SSD

Most ppl set bios like this CD/ROM,DVD first HHD second extrnal third ....

There 2 things to set in bios HDD order and 1st , 2nd , 3rd , boot devices

And for the reccord, pay attention and read my post. I am already booting to the CD, but the utility is erroring out during startup.

USB flashing works fine on the UT board. If it's not showing up in the BIOS hard drive boot order or the post screen boot order either the stick is not configured properly or it is dead.
Proper flashing order for Agility and Vertex SSDs. Pick the firmware you are currently at and move up from there. Any deviation from this can result in performance/reliability issues or non-working drives. Flashing back to a previous firmware from v1.50 may result in a non-working drive.

problem is with the flash tool, it isn't loading.. i need help with this.

No problem. Done forgotten. There is nothing wrong with the flash tool. Being successfully used by thousands of users demonstrates that. Good luck to you.
