Vertex LE Firmware update 1.05

DO NOT FLASH THIS FIRMWARE TO YOUR VERTEX 2 DRIVE, ONLY VERTEX LE.

2 files here you need to download, one is a guide...how to flash; and the other is the flasher files etc.

To start the update to FW1.05 is a within Microsoft Windows OS flash only, and you will probably have to be in AHCI mode when you flash. Some systems have shown flashing issues in IDE mode so be prepared for some work to get your drive flashed. In the guide we have included the registry hack details for those in IDE mode so you can swap to AHCI mode.

Sandforce are working on a Linux flasher and an OSX flasher...they are not ready just yet though.

Please be aware the flasher does not damage data BUT we can not guarantee this...with this in mind please backup before you attempt flashing the drive. The flasher will work on the OS primary drive as well as spare drives.

OCZ Vertex Limited Edition Update Tool

Overview
The OCZ Vertex Limited Edition Update Tool allows users to update firmware on drives operating in a Windows environment. The Update Tool is capable of updating firmware on both boot and secondary drives.

On launch, the Update Tool will scan for drives. IMPORTANT: The Update Tool requires administrator privileges. No drives will be discovered if administrator privileges are not enabled. In Windows 7 and Vista, for the program to have administrator privileges, you just right click the file and "Run as Administrator". All discovered drives will be displayed in the drive list with a checkbox. The drive to be updated must be checked. Only one drive should be selected at a time.
